All I've heard so far is that it will be bi-monthly and published by Screen Power Publishing Group who normally publish magazines on Asian cinema.

I have never read a Screen Power Publishing Group's magazine
because a don't really like martial arts movies.
Glad to see they are expanding.

I think they're jumping on the horror bandwagon at just the right time to be honest so I wish them the best of luck!

OK I finally have some more news on the UK's other new horror movie mag - "SCREAM - The Horror Magazine"!

From the cover it seems that it will combine
the classic (The Wolfman 1941) with
the modern (Piranha 3D 2010).

I like that.

I can also see: "Jaws", "Elm Street"
All American mainstream horror?
No European horror?

Drew Cullingham is British and Umbrage a low budget film.
Maybe there is more like this inside.

There seems to be a massive resurgence in British horror....

Wasn't the horror movies in the 30s a result of the Great Depression, the economic crisis of that era?
I think I read that somewhere.
And if it's true, can our economic crisis produce similar effects?
Just a thought.

After that enthousiastic review I had to order the first issue.
They have paypal which is very convenient.
I'll eagerly awaiting my issue to arrive.

I hope you're not disappointed! I think you maybe right about the depression/recession encouraging this current interest in horror films/mags/tv etc.

I think with "Scream", it's moving away from the trashy Gorezone-style emphasis on sex and topless models and non-horror reviews and back to a more intelligent look at horror aimed at real horror fans and not teenagers just getting into sex and girls.

I really hope the magazine is a success!

Yes, the horror movies in the 30's were a result of the great depression. it is true I'm not sure if our economic crisis can produce a similar effect, because back them Europe and the world was between to major wars that effected everyone. it's a totally diffident situation.
Anyway - Scream magazine it looks like a must for an horror fan like myself i'll check it out!
