SCREAM - The Horror Mag

A subscription?

It depends what you want from a horror magazine.

Scream is a pretty good read and covers both old and new films although the review section is very poorly written and not worth bothering with.

If you want to describe to a really decent British horror mag that covers new films, old films and has an extensive review section then I'd probably recommend The Darkside.

If you like indie horror, punk sensibilities and tattoos then Shock Horror is for you.

If you like old British horror and cult films then Bedabbled! is great but only comes out twice a year...very well written though and some nice visuals.

Maybe order one issue of each and see which one you prefer?

I don't like new subscriptions any more.
Ever since I lost my money when
Movie Insider, Scarlet Street, Dark Side, Premiere,
ceased publication.

I do keep my old, trusted, subs to
Sight & Sound, SFX, Cinefex, Video Watchdog.

As of Scream I totaly agree with Cyber.
And I buy it from Hemlock.

LOL I hope you do too!

There's some great writing in there and I actually felt I'd learned something after I'd finally finished reading it...much more depth and insight than many other mags.

so I got them a while ago but have not gotten a chance to read them yet flipping through them I think I will like them. It's so hard for me to keep up with the new stuff that I buy I can hardly ever get to back issues. Next up is to get toxic horror and wicked runs
