Hello Mike, my name is Schroeder & I am the new publisher/owner of Cult Movies Magazine. The magazine has not ceased but is in a hiatus due to some minor problems. When all the smoke clears, Cult Movies Magazine will continue publication. Cult Movies issue 42 was completed but due to some unforseen circumstances, 42 was put on hold due to new ownership & the havoc between Michael Copner & Eric Caiden. Issue 42 has been completed but not printed, too many mistakes to rectify & improper submission release forms were not filled out. I sent an e mail stating all submitters please allow permission for SCHROEDER the new publisher/owner to print said articles. Very few responded due to the fact of what happened between Michael Copner & Eric Caiden (attack/attempted murder). Rumors that, the submitters were not pleased on the attack made by Michael Copner on Eric Caiden I have received numerous e mails, letters & personal confrontations in reference to this subject matter, wishing a downfall on Cult Movies Magazine because of the attack Michael Copner made on Eric Caiden. I as the new publisher/owner had nothing to do with it & can not understand why Cult Movies fans would wish me this. I have responded to all in a positive manner no matter how brutal the contacts were. Cult Movies Magazine is attending red carpet events, movie premiers, celebrity events, collecting info, interviews with cult icons & much more for a fresh start. I just want the bad taste of the Michael Copner & Eric Caiden event to leave the Cult Movies Magazine fans minds. I hope this contact has shed some new light on the publication. Hello Schroeder,
Thank you very much for all the info.
I was wondering what happened to Cult Movies magazine.
And I couldn't find out if there was issue #42 or not.

It's not easy to get that kind of information in my place,
in the distant European corner.
And much harder was to buy back issues of Cult Movies.
I spent many hours in Ebay searching.
And I never found issues 2,3,4 and 6.
I have all the others.

I loved the magazine back in the 90s.
Cult Movies and Psychotronic Video.
For some reason I remember them together.
Maybe it was the same kind of paper they were printed on.
They had a special smell, a special "flavor" for me.

I wish and hope one day that you will be able to publish
Cult Movies again.

Hi Mike, thanks for the kind words. There will be a 42 in 2011, some back issues can be found on the website at www.cultmoviesmagazine.com yes VideoSonic Arts is Cult Movies Magazine (the first 2 issues), the name changed & for the better i think. I have 5 of each issue archived & most are impossible to find. I have seen issues 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 go on Ebay from 50 to 150 dollars, they are rather rare. The magazine was purposely printed on news print to get that old feel & smell, after all, the magazine deals with old classics so the news print seemed like the best idea. I do not know if i will use news print for issue 42 because i will also include newer cult classic films. Nice publication you have here on-line, If you need anything else, please feel free to contact me. May good health be with you always. Schroeder (Publisher/Owner) of Cult Movies Magazine.
