- Fred Clarke was 19 years old when in 1967 published a mimeographed version of Cinefantastique.
- There were 8 issues: Numbers 1 to 7 and number 20. #6 was never published; only the cover exists. There were no #8 to #19.
- The first official issue of Cinefantastique follows three years later, in 1970, and soon becomes one of the best magazines covering the fantastic cinema.
