- "Eccentric Australian magazine of the 1970s in leaflet form, which seemed to want to review every English-language film ever made in alphabetical order, as well as printing overviews of the careers of actors and actresses, also alphabetically." (P.G.)

- Started as Australian Film Guide.
- 54 issues were published from 1970 to 1979.
- After an interruption of 8 years, a new series started in 1987.
- 63 volumes/"reference books" of the 2nd series were published in Australia.
- Volumes 1 to 12 were in hardback with dust jackets; Volumes 13-63 had perfect-bound/soft covers.
- Every volume/issue covers a theme with synopsis, reviews, cast lists, info and notes for every film.
- In 2004, Lulu Books in the USA started publishing new volumes (now called "Reid's Movie Data").
- A5 format (A4 since issue #64); around 200 pages.
