- Started as a merger of the mags
Neue Illustrierte and
Revue.
- It was commonly referred to as "Neue Revue" and eventually also renamed on the cover.
- Content-wise, it morphed from a society mag to a so-called Boulevard-mag, i.e. it showed a particular interest in the seedier side of life - and along the way, cover images moved from general-purpose images to girls in bikinis, to topless girls and even the odd full-frontal nude.
- Later, it slowly morphed back to its origins, the cover girls put clothes on or were even replaced by general-purpose images, and the mag renamed itself back to Revue.
